And Another Thing... Reflections from My Small Town

Challenging and eclectic, honest, philosophical and enthusiastic, Susan Rushton's “And Another Thing” opinion columns promote clear thought, clear vision and a light spirit. After gracing the Auburn Journal for 25 years, her straightforward writing provokes and questions, taking pleasure in the small stuff while respecting people's hearts and minds. From politics to relationships, from the media to technology, Susan's eloquent reflections from her small town start from her Northern California community filled with community-minded people. But whether you come from this small town, another small town or even a big city, you live in a place with people you know and keep seeing, and all of you form your own community--your own small town. Just like Auburn. "Informative, warm, entertaining... Susan tells it how it is, with heart."--Norma Lehr, mystery novelist "She has a wonderful eye for people, locales and the remarkableness of the passing moment, and serves it all up in writing that is so transparent, nothing gets between you and her thought."--Persia Woolley, author of The Guinevere Trilogy

A lifetime English major, Susan Rushton is a writer, an editor and a teacher. Since 2000, she has produced and hosted two monthly half-hour programs on Auburn Community Television. She and her husband Don moved to Auburn in 1985. They plan never to leave.
