A lifetime English major, Susan Rushton is a writer, an editor and a teacher. Since 2000, she has produced and hosted two monthly half-hour programs on Auburn Community Television. Since 1999 she has presented Silver Screen Classic Movies once a month at the Auburn Library. In 1994, she won the Artie award from the Arts Council of Placer County for promoting the literary arts; and from 1995 to 1999, she was a charter commissioner on the Auburn Arts Commission, created by the City of Auburn to promote art in public places. She and her husband Don moved to Auburn in 1985. They plan never to leave.
