Synopsis
This training guide represents a way to use the Baldrige criteria to improve classroom systems. It is designed for classroom teachers at all levels, as well as teachers in training. Included are examples from different regions of the country, different educational levels, and a variety of classes, with the hope that readers will be able to relate their own situation to those described. The various tools are embedded ‘just-in-time’ in the text: explained and applied right where they are mentioned. Also included is a Tools Selection Chart to help readers refer immediately to the tools' instructions for each activity. The book's approach is practical, with the many activities having already been tested and improved in the authors' numerous training sessions with real teachers. It is not a book to be read and put on a shelf...it is intended for ‘doers’! With a foreword by Robert A.
