About this title

Synopsis

""An Answer to the Dissenters Pleas for Separation: Or an Abridgment of the London Cases"" is a book written by Thomas Bennet and published in 1711. The book is a response to the arguments put forth by the Dissenters, who were a group of Protestants in England who refused to conform to the Church of England. The Dissenters argued that they should be allowed to form their own separate churches, free from the control of the Church of England.Bennet's book provides a detailed analysis of the legal cases that had been brought against the Dissenters in London. He argues that the Dissenters' claims for separation are based on faulty reasoning and that they are not entitled to the same rights and privileges as members of the Church of England. He also argues that the Dissenters' claims are not supported by the Bible or by the teachings of the Church. The book is written in a clear and concise style and is intended to provide a comprehensive rebuttal of the Dissenters' arguments. It is an important historical document that sheds light on the religious and political debates of the time and provides insight into the relationship between the Church of England and the Dissenters.Wherein The Substance Of Those Books Is Digested Into One Short And Plain Discourse. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
