About the Author

James Thaddeus"Jim" Goad is an American author and publisher, raised in Philadelphia, PA. He met his now-deceased ex-wife Debbie in NY. They married and moved to LA where he worked in a print shop. He moved to Portland, OR in 1994. Goad has written two books: The Redneck Manifesto, wherein he explores issues of class in colonial and modern America; and Shit Magnet, his autobiography. He also contributed his writing to the book Apocalypse Culture II, many magazines, and a spoken word piece to the Boyd Rice album Hatesville.
