Answers to Prayer

George Mueller was a great man of God although his early life was not marked by righteousness. As a teenager he was a thief, a liar and a gambler, ultimately spending time in prison for fraud at the age of sixteen. Through God’s grace, however, Mueller soon “came to prize the Bible alone as [his] standard of judgement” and experienced the power of prayer and faith, understanding that:

• God is real
• God is completely trustworthy
• God answers prayer

He wrote, “There was a day when I died, utterly died, died to George Mueller, his opinions, preferences, tastes, and will—died to the world, its approval or censure—died to the approval or blame even of my brethren and friends—and since then I have studied only to show myself approved unto God.”

As you read the many miraculous answers to prayer that are reported in this book, don’t be surprised if you feel a stirring in your spirit that becomes a desire to pray and ask God to use your life for His glory.

Answers to Prayer has changed the lives of countless people, and it has influenced pastors, teachers, churches, and Christians to prove for themselves that God is real and trustworthy and He truly answers prayer.
