About the Author
Carol Stock Kranowitz, M.A., is the author of The Out-of-Sync Child, the best seller that demystifies sensory integration. She is also featured in the video version of The Out-of-Sync Child. As a music, movement, and drama teacher, she has developed a purposeful curriculum that integrates sensorimotor activities into the preschool day. Ms. Kranowitz is a noted national speaker on DSI and the author of numerous publications. Dr. Lynn Balzer-Martin, Ph.D, OTR, is a pediatric occupational therapist with a doctorate in special education and developed the famous Balzer-Martin Preschool Screening Program. Stacey Szklut, MS, OTR/L is a well-known expert on sensory integration and founder of Occupational Therapy Associates, Watertown, MA, a premier clinic for the treatment of children with DSI.
