The note is a get well card, addressed to Mrs. A. Watts in the hospital. Interestingly, the writer suggests he would "cycle" up to the hospitalized patient. Motoring was at its infancy I suppose. Apparently an anti Semitic joke was a way to restore good humor in a sick individual. You'd think such virulent bile would affect the patient negatively and result in a more prolonged hospital stay.
