Antioxidants as Metal Mitigator in Fish: Bioaccumulation And Effect Of Cadmium Chloride In Certain Organs Of Clarias batrachus

The book entitled “Antioxidants as Metal Mitigator in Fish” is an attempt to evaluate the ameliorative potential of certain antioxidants namely vitamin C, spirulina and garlic on tissue cadmium burden, cadmium induced histo-architectural and haematological changes in Clarias batrachus and observed that the addition of vitamin C exerted its remedial effect and resulted in minimizing the rate of accumulation of cadmium, histo-architectural and haematological changes in gills, liver and kidney at the most while spirulina stood at the second and the garlic third.

Dr. Bilal Ahmad did his Ph.D in Zoology with specialization in fisheries and Post Graduated in Fisheries Science. Presently he is associated with ICAR. Dr. T. A. Qureshi did his Ph.D (Fisheries) from Vickram University Ujjain, India. He is the receipt of Gold Medals. He produced about 50 Ph.Ds. Both authors have published number of papers.
