This attractive original old antique print / plate / map originates from 1885-1907 editions of a famous German encyclopedia: 'Meyers grosses Konversations-Lexikon.', published in Leipzig and Vienna. Meyers Konversations-Lexikon was a major German encyclopedia that existed in various editions from 1839 until 1984, when it merged with the Brockhaus encyclopedia. Several of the plates were also used in Dutch Encyclopedia's like Winkler Prins.Artists and Engravers: The original founder and publisher who initiated this famous enxyclopedia was Joseph Meyer (1796-1856, Hildburghausen, Germany).Condition: Excellent. In 2018 he decided to further develop his personal collection through 'Pictura Prints'. Peter has a background in design and landscape architecture and holds a degree in paper restauration. He holds shop in Overasselt, a small town on the Maas river near Nijmegen, The Netherlands, which can be visited by appointment. He is a member of the Dutch Association of Antiquarians (NVVA) and the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers (ILAB).

We ship worldwide and package our items meticulously. We carry an umbrella insurance policy. Our shipment rates are based on shipments up to 1 kg. For heavier shipments we will contact you with a quote. Currently our surcharge for international shipments over 1 kg is 9,14 euro / kg. In addition POST NL temporarly charges 3,60 euro per kg due to CORONA related logistics. We ship by registered mail through POST NL.
