In the clouds Unity, with the cornucopia and with a bunch of arrows in her hand. Around her are flying putti. She has chained the personification Wrath who is sitting under her. In the foreground the personification of the river Ij. The print is after a ceiling painting by Gerard de Lairesse and is part of a series with Biblical, mythological and allegorical scenes.Signed at bottom: "G. Lairesse Pinx et Del. / J.G. f.". Etching on paper with margins; plate mark: 305 x 207 mm, total: 328 x 225 mm; some light rubbing and staining along the margins, traces of previous mounting on verso visible also from the recto, otherwise in very good condition.
