The great orphanage (het oude Weeshuis in het Spui) is visible in the distance, at center. In a nicely decorated frame.Titled in English at bottom: "A Perspective View of the New Drawbridge Canal and Great Orphan House at The HAGUE a celebrated Town in Holland."Published in George Henry Millar's: "The new complete, authentic and universal system of Geography" from 1782. Handcolored etching with some engraving on thick paper, hand colored, with some margins; plate mark: 210 x 307 mm, total: 224 x 346 mm; some smudges along the margins, a small tear on the top near the left corner, otherwise very nice impression.
