Figure study of an unknown man with hat, looking over his right shoulder. .Different states, also indicated on some impressions. Later states (from the second onwards) are titled Standje - Tandem. The date also changes from 1857 to 1858. The composition gets filled with hatchings and cross hatchings.[NL] Figuurstudie van een onbekende man met hoed, kijkend over zijn rechterschouder. Geëtst door Cornelis van der Griendt (1797-1868). Etching and drypoint on paper, some margins; total: ca. 223 x 149 mm; states I/4 [4 pieces], state II/4 [1], state IV/4 [2]; some smudges, some small worm holes; overall in good condition. Etswerk van C. van der Grient C.O.zn., nr. 5.
