Whose War is it Anyway?

In this poignant book dedicated to children all over the world who are displaced by the horrors of war and terrorism, Moha Mehta shows us how we can still create peace, beginning with the large space within our own hearts. She makes us part of a family of six whose world is torn apart in a matter of minutes. Our hearts go out to little Salim, who at one moment is sitting in a classroom listening to his teacher, and at the next, is running away from school as fast as he can after hearing an explosion. As the family hurries to abandon their village, all three-year-old Noorie can think about is why no one is playing with her. In the face of terror, Moha skillfully uses each family member’s perspective to create a picture of peace, optimism and love.

Moha Mehta's vision is to introduce stories to children, which help them develop compassion by understanding each other a little better. She lives in Irvine, California with her family. You can contact her by email at Moha@freecarbontracker.com
