Three years after Daimina's rescue, Aoh is now living in the Egyptian palace freely, or so she thinks. With her secret revealed, not everyone in the palace is taking kindly to her. That is except Laggus, the man she has fallen deeply in love with.

However, his new status as a soldier keeps him away as the Egyptian and Canaanite war rages on. Amidst the sudden and troubling tragedies that plague the palace, the pharaoh must decide whether to ask for Hyksos aid. But there are others who could benefit from the help: those from Aoh's past who wish to claim her and those striving to make her disappear forever.

But there is still hope. The pharaoh and his mother become increasingly distrusting of his vizier, Senmet. Just when romance seems to blossom for Aoh, a new player enters the game that could determine Egypt's fate well after the war concludes.
