Appalachian Flood

This is a collection of magic realist poetry whose content is rooted in the Appalachian mountains of Virginia. The poems are playful and sinister, surreal and self-destructive. Some of the poems in this collection have appeared in many literary magazines including Ploughshares, Poetry East, Another Chicago Magazine, Exquisite Corpse, Hawaii Review, Last Call: Poems on Alcoholism, Addiction, And Deliverance and The Spoon River Poetry Review.

Cindy Goff was born in Chilhowie Virginia. She received her B.A. in English from George Mason University in Fairfax. She received her M.F.A. in Creative Writing from George Mason University in 1993. Her poetry has appeared in many literary journals including Ploughshares, Exquisite Corpse, ACM (Another Chicago Magazine), and The Hawaii Review.
