About the Author
Akon M. Walker, MPA is a Los Angeles, California native, exploring her options in a new career in inspirational writing. Akon has several years of experience working in the non-profit and government sectors to improve the health and wellbeing of individuals and families within unserved and underserved communities. She has written numerous of public agency policies and procedures, local policies for county government, and numerous local analyses on topics related to health care for leaders of local government. She also serves as a licensed minister at Covenant Worship Center, in Berkeley, California, under the wisdom and guidance of Bishop K.R. Woods. She enjoys visiting the local skilled nursing facility on the third Saturday of every month to share a word of inspiration. In 2004, Akon M. Walker earned a B.A. in Integrative Biology from University of California, Berkeley. In 2010, Akon earned her Masters of Public Administration (MPA), from California State University, East Bay. She now resides in the Bay Area with her wonderful husband of ten years.
