M R Srinivasan obtained his PhD from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore in 1979. Then he worked at the Indian Institute of Science, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research and City College of New York. Since 2010 he has been pursuing research at the University of Toronto. His research interests include Experimental Solid State Physics, Ferroelectrics and Non-linear Optics.
