FRIES, allievo di Fichte, collega di Hegel a Jena, dal 1805 ad Heidelberg ad Heidelberg docente di Filosofia e Matematica elementare (ampliata dal 1812 anche a Fisica). Avverso al Romanticismo, liberale e nazionalista e antisemita (aspetto di cui cui il presente saggio non tratta, limitandosi a un confronto con Kant). "L'impostazione di Fries ad oggi non ha perso nulla della sua forza dimostrativa nello spiegare la fenomenologia di azioni ideologicamente connotate" (wiki).
