Illustrated self wraps 20x28cm. Printed and published annually by Dar Al Thaqafa Printing Press with permission from the Ministry of Interior under Decree No. 440/5, 5/12/1400 AH. (4)pp printed in grey or red, in Arabic with much translated into English. Good, creased with some staining. Issued as part of a series with some years differently titled in English "Enumeration of Pilgrims to Holy House of God". The front of this year's edition features an aerial photo of the Masjid al Haram and its immediate environs during Hajj. The centre pages feature a table titled "Number and Nationalities of Pilgrims Arriving from Outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia who Stood on Arafat on Tuesday, the 9th of Dhu al-Hijjah 1404 AH - corresponding to December 4, 1984 AC". This indicates a total of 919,671 visitors (a fall from 1,005,060 in 1403 AH), with regional breakdowns for Arab countries (441,017), non-Arab Asia (421,405), non-Arab Africa (50,975), and Europe and America (6,274). Over half of the visitors this year came from the following countries: Iran (154,958), Egypt (133,071), Pakistan (91,872), North Yemen (65,279, compared with 8,669 from South Yemen), Sudan (49,072), and Indonesia (40,928). Gulf states recorded are Qatar (1,000), Bahrain (3,673), Oman (10,636), Kuwait (10,151), and UAE (5,048). The final page has two photos, one showing Tawaf, the other a view of the Prophet's Mosque in Medina, and printer / publisher's advert promoting books and maps on Hajj and the Holy Cities. Very rare.
