Good condition, vintage 1966 Delta paperback (Second Edition). Pages are tanned/yellowed with age throughout, typical of a paperback this age. Cover shows light wear, some soiling/discoloration, and light surface scuffing. Binding is intact. No highlighting noted. Inside the front cover is a decorative bookplate ('From the Library of.' with a tree illustration) and a handwritten ownership inscription with a Portland, Oregon location and a March 1966 date -- previous owner's name has been omitted for privacy. A charming vintage copy with real history.

For 15 years I've been an Oregon CPA, and for 10 of those I taught tax and accounting at the college level. But my proudest work has nothing to do with numbers: I homeschooled my daughter from preschool through freshman year and in September she will be starting the 10th grade - homeschooling.
This season taught me a good book can shape how a child sees the world. Every title I choose has to engage young minds to think critically and navigate this world with real understanding. Every book has a story — but it only means something when a child lives it.
Why Papa Duck? I was "Uncle Duck" to my nieces and nephews for years — duck pictures fill my office, Mallards are my favorite. When my grandson arrived last year, the family asked what he'd call me. There was only one answer.
