Cloth back, portfolio boards. Published in six parts between 1890-1894. The whole comprises 145 black and white plates, the majority photographic, the rest being the authors' drawings. all plates are 14 in x 10 in on fine paper 19 in by 14 in. Text comprises 64 pp. and there are other preliminaries including a preface, lists of subscribers etc. All contents are laid in loose in the portfolio boards. Spines rubbed to head and foot, but the plates are all clean and bright apart from a little dust-soiling at the extremities of the borders. The whole is VERY heavy and will thus incur additional carriage charges which will be substantial overseas.
