6 cloth-backed printed board elephant portfolios (well-worn, rubbed and stained), containing 145 full-page plates loose as issued, with 180 illustrations in the text. Some of the loose pages have soiling on the margins. The photographs themselves appear to be free from marks. Volume 1: Part 1, 22 plates plates 1-22. Part 2 Plates 23-44, Part 3 plates 45-66. Part 4, plates 67-87. Part 5 plates 88-116, Part 6 plates 117-145. Each portfolio has several pages of text, some slightly chipped on the margins. London: Batsford, 1894. First Edition. A very good(-) copy of this uncommon set .
