Vol. 1 front hinge cracked and 1-2" tears cloth binding at top and bottom front spine edge. Some staining and foxing to page edges of Vol. 1. Vols. are undated however Vol. 1, in pencil is written: Bakewell & Brown 4/21/24. Firm of Bakewell & Brown was founded in 1905 by John Bakewell, Jr. (1872-1963) and Arthur Brown, Jr. (1874-1957). The prominent San Francisco firm designed bldgs throughout San Francisco Bay Area, including numerous bldgs for Stanford University. Bakewell & Brown won competition for the design of San Francisco City Hall, built in 1915.
