Selznick, March 13 and March 18, 1950. 3)A long three page single spaced typed letter (file copy) from David O. Selznick to Cukor May 18, 1960, still trying to get the work brought to the screen with cast including Jennifer Jones, Jane Fonda, and Glenn Ford. The film was finally made in 1962 starring Jennifer Jones and Joan Fontaine. Henry T. Weinstein was the producer (not David O. Selznick); screenplay by Ivan Moffat. See David Thomson's "Showman" p.633 for details on the filming, most of which took place in Zurich. Memos from David O. Selznick continued to fly during the 1960 filming including one of sixty pages, to the screenwriter.
