And You Are.?! My Life in Entertainment as a Non "A-List" Talent Erratically Orbiting the Spotlight (Paperback or Softback)

And You Are…?!: My Life in Entertainment as a Non “A-List” Talent Erratically Orbiting the Spotlight is Jeffrey Breslauer’s memoir of a long, varied, and often unpredictable career in the entertainment world. Beginning with childhood memories, family influences, and early signs of a performer’s imagination, Breslauer traces the path that led him from school and community theater into professional stage work, television, film, commercials, children’s theater, voice acting, writing, conventions, and creative collaborations.

The book is not a conventional celebrity autobiography or a behind-the-scenes exposé. Instead, it is the account of a working entertainer who moved through many corners of show business, often close to famous people and memorable productions, while carving out his own unusual place in the industry. Breslauer recounts auditions, rejections, small breakthroughs, theatrical productions, background work, commercial shoots, television appearances, and writing projects with a mixture of humor, nostalgia, and honesty. Along the way, he reflects on friendships, mentors, fellow actors, family members, and creative partners who shaped his life and helped sustain his commitment to performing and storytelling.

Covering experiences that include stage productions, regional theater, film and television work, Walt Disney World, Muppets-related projects, mystery dinner shows, voice performances, and original writing, And You Are…?! offers a personal look at the entertainment business from the perspective of someone who lived it from the margins of fame rather than from its center. The result is a warm, anecdotal memoir about persistence, rejection, reinvention, memory, and the satisfactions of staying creative even when the spotlight remains just out of reach.
