Ariel's Island (Paperback or Softback)

*2024 BEST OF COWETA AUTHOR*

They say blood is thicker than water, but what if money screams louder than a river of blood?

Anyone who passed by or through the doors of Strange & Fowler, Atlanta’s most prestigious law firm, that morning, beheld a sight they would never forget – the body of one of the lawyers impaled on the fountain in front.

Paul McDaniel, a litigator of the firm, now witness to the gruesome scene, is appointed lead attorney on the most high-profile moneymaker case at the firm, replacing the late Billingsley – a clutch position for someone who has been toiling in the shadows. Paul doesn’t waste a second. As any good lawyer would, he dives head-first into the most important case of his career.

With the backing of the unimaginable wealth of his client, the Milano family, and Ariel, their ever-present, enormously helpful, and all-knowing assistant, Paul’s future and the outcome of the case look blindingly bright.

But nothing is ever what it seems.

Soon, McDaniel, and his previously immaculate record, are on the run from the long reach of the law – helicopters buzzing in the sky in search of his flashy new Porsche. He winds his way from Atlanta to Florida to save Melissa Milano, glossy heir to the Milano family fortune, evading the Feds, but something just doesn’t quite add up and he can’t put his finger on it yet. It doesn’t help that bodies keep turning up, implicating him, the firm, and the Milanos.

A suspenseful, impeccably written, action-packed legal thriller with page-turning twists you won’t see coming.
