Arithmetic in Action. By E Brideoake and I. D. Groves. Published by The University of London Press Ltd in 1948. A Second Edition. Size: 5 x 7 1/2 inches. Page number:128. Hardcover. Pale blue cloth boards with dark blue lettering. The dark blue jacket shows an image of two girls playing at shopkeepers. This book is described as 'A New Approach To Number Teaching'. It contains some black and white photographs of children engaged in classwork; also black and white drawings that illustrate the exercises. Condition: Very Good. The binding is tight. The boards are clean. The pages are clean and un-thumbed. The jacket is a little worn. There is a closed tear about a 3/4 inch long on the front, a shorter tear also at the bottom, and a small tear at the top of the spine. There is an ex-libris sticker on the first end paper.
