This 128 page biography / memoir is set near Clairmont, Alberta. The author, born in 1922 into a large family, was christened Elvira Elizabeth. Her father was William Forrest Laughy. Read more about : Uncle Linwood, hemline, Three Drops of Brandy, Blind Man's Bluff, duster, and cabin window. Section of b/w photographs at center. Cond : Paper wrapper is white with brown lettering. Front cover photograph seems to be of the homestead house. Clean and, in ALL senses bright. No marks. No wear. QUote (p. 35) : " Between the ages of eight and ten, white winters meantmany things. I remember bed times and how I dreaded getting into a cold bed. I always had warm flanelette nightes my mother sewed for me but it would take ._._._. . " Size: 8vo.
