On Arriving

"How do you decide where to go when you leave home forever? You just decide. And then that is your goal. It's different from this place, you hope. Safer, you hope. You hope."

Award-winning playwright Ivan Faute's highly lauded one-woman show about a young woman's search for safety and a new home when her country begins to fall apart. Told through a series of poetic scenes, the fractured structure reflects the hard choices refugees make when deciding to stay or to flee, and what path to take to through safety, peace, and loss.

“Faute’s skillfully written script is surprisingly understated.... Instead of politics, the rich details in the show are thoughts and feelings.” - Once A Week Theatre
