Dimock, water staining noted at page edges, salvaged from a damaged issue of The Century Illustrated Monthly Magazine, Volume LXXIII, #6, April, 1907. From the opening paragraph, "For about twenty years I had been on the lookoutfor a manatee, or sea-cow, in the waters on the west coast of southern Florida. At last I captures one, and with two quarter-inch lines anchored him in a sea-cow pasturage of a few acres, where I left him for a week, to get lumber for a tank and to arrange for his shipment to the Aquarium in New York."
