Hardcover. Condition: Good. No Jacket. Not dated; thought to be around mid 1930s. Edition and printing not known. In good plus light brown linen-effect cloth boards, red titles to front and spine. The book is very thick and the boards have collapsed hollow and yet quite firm; clean and with sound edges. Quite clean end papers; names of two previous owners on front free end paper. Pages are moderately tanned with visible foxing, heavy to endpapers. Mild cracking to gutters, however binding remains firm. Notable tearing to rear endpaper. Sticker to front pastedown. Shoe prints and staining to rear pastedown and endpaper. Mild thumb-marking present. Boards have light edgewear with corner crushing and notable marking to boards. First edition hard back binding in publisher's original coarsely woven beige cloth covered boards, blocked and lettered in red to the spine and the front cover. 8vo. 8½'' x 6''. Contains 639 pp with 32 art plates on coated paper and 328 diagrams in the text. Just a little age tanning to the text block edges, spine and red lettering not faded and in near Fine condition, superb copy, no dust wrapper. Possibly SIGNED with card loosely inserted.
