About the Author:
Simon Lewis (scrl@hplb.hpl.hp.com) is a software engineer at Hewlett-Packard Laboratories' European research centre in Bristol, UK. During the last eight years he has worked on a variety of advanced projects, almost always using Smalltalk, and has frequently provided consulting and training in the language to other parts of the company worldwide. His professional interests also include the design of easy-to-use human/computer interfaces.
