Artificial Intelligence and Democratic Values: CAIDP AI Index 2026, Volume I

The Artificial Intelligence and Democratic Values Index (CAIDP AI Index) is the most comprehensive global assessment of national AI policy and practices measured against democratic values. The CAIDP AI Index provides qualitative reports on 90 countries and a quantitative evaluation across 12 metrics as a basis for comparison across countries. Governments, policymakers, regulators, civil society organizations, academics, journalists, and international organizations use the CAIDP AI Index as an authoritative reference to better understand and advance human rights-based AI governance.
