Hardcover. Condition: As New. Dust Jacket Condition: Near Fine. 1st Edition. ** 2 VOLUME SET COMPLETE, 1990 ** AS NEW HARDCOVERS WITH NEAR FINE DUSTJACKETS ** BOOKS APPEAR UNREAD AND ARE UNMARKED ** Published by MIT Press, 1990, two thick large octavos (8vo), with 1,320 total pages. Well-made books, bound in sturdy cloth-covered boards. Books themselves appear like brand new and seem unread. Dustjackets show signs of shelf-use and some aging (i.e. jacket spines lightly sun-faded, very occasional wear at the edges, one short closed edge tear to top front edge of Vol. 1 near the spine). Both books are exceptionally clean and stain-free, square and straight, quite firm and tight in their bindings, no pages are loose, torn, or missing. Hinges are sound and undamaged, all corners are sharp and unbumped. There is no writing, underlining, highlighting, or markings of any such kind in the books. All pages are clean and stain-free, crisp and white, and all text is sharp and legible. Dustjackets are clean, bright, stain-free, and complete.
