Ingold earned the Master of Divinity degree from Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Columbus, Ohio, and the Bachelor of Arts degree in Music and Theater from West Virginia Wesleyan College. He has produced several plays, liturgical dramas, and musicals, and is a principal member of the Nashville Opera Chorus.
