Ascendant: The Last Itaran (Paperback or Softback)

The Itarans are gone. At least, they're supposed to be.

Amalia Anders has spent her life knowing she is different without ever understanding why. The answers begin to emerge when she is drawn into a conflict far older than the world she knows. She discovers that the truth of her existence has been deliberately kept from her.

Beyond her world lies the Aethersphere: eight interconnected planes held together by a balance few understand and even fewer are willing to protect. That balance is beginning to shift.

At the center of the crisis is Commander General Ryna Strann, a woman entrusted with protecting the Aethersphere and is willing to do almost anything to ensure its survival. Armies are moving. Alliances are fracturing. Something deadly is spreading through the realms. And Amalia is becoming increasingly difficult for those in power to ignore.

Because she isn't merely caught in the coming war.

She may be one of the reasons it is coming.

As Amalia searches for the truth about who and what she is, she is forced to confront those who would control her, those who would destroy her, and the possibility that her own existence is connected to a secret powerful enough to reshape every realm.

But the deeper she goes, the more dangerous the truth becomes.

The Itarans disappeared for a reason. And if Amalia discovers that reason, she may have to decide whether the Aethersphere deserves to be saved at all.

ASCENDANT: THE LAST ITARAN is the first novel in The Red Lion Saga, an epic science-fantasy series of forbidden power, political betrayal, interdimensional war, hidden identities, the people caught between the survival of their worlds and the truth upon which those worlds were built.
