Toby Whitman’s life is going nowhere. Stuck in the humdrum town he grew up in, Toby endures his life as a high-school English teacher with aspirations of one day becoming a successful novelist. Plagued by the aftermath of a rough break-up and all too real dreams of being abandoned in a desolate wasteland with only a lone death’s-head hawkmoth for company, Toby wonders when his life will truly begin. But when his life is abruptly shaken by a diagnosis that challenges his attitude towards an existence long taken for granted, Toby is visited by the Sixth Incarnation of Death. His message?
