Grade 4-8 A collection of columns from the Atlanta Journal & Constitution that presents questions from young fans to Atlanta Braves star Murphy, along with his answers. The questions range from the technical (``I would like to know how to hit ground balls hard'') to the unusual (``Does it hurt your hands when you catch the ball?'') to questions about Murphy's personal life (``What's the best Christmas you ever had?''). Murphy shows a lot of wisdom in his answers. His emphasis to young athletes and their coaches is to have fun rather than worry too much about winning. He relates the problems he has had in his career and tells of the difficulties he had in becoming a major leaguer. Murphy has earned the reputation of being squeaky clean in his personal life, and his strong values come through in some of the answers. Photos of Murphy in action illustrate the text. This is a worthwhile addition to any baseball collection, not only for the technical information it imparts but also because of the sincere insights it gives into the life and views of Dale Murphy.
