George Bayntun, Bath, 1926. Hardcover. First edition thus, first impression. Waxed blue cloth. Gilt lettering to spine. Pictorial spine and upper board. Colour frontispiece. Illustrated throughout with monochrome line drawings. No dustjacket. Previous owner's bookplate pasted onto front pastedown. Previous owner's name at top of front free endpaper. Head and foot of spine rubbed. Spine dulled. Top corner of fore edge of upper board lightly bumped. Lower board slightly soiled, partially rubbed and pitted in 2 places. Some slight soiling to pages 264 and 265. This affects two words in the text on page 265 but the words are legible. Endpapers tanned. Overall, the book is in a good condition.
