Ask Her: Simple Words to Jumpstart Your Conversation with Mary

What is Mary’s heart really like?

The first thing I did when Matthew Kelly asked me to write this book was to prayerfully ask Mary to reveal herself to me. What was her heart really like? How did she love? What did she want me to learn?

And so it began, these beautiful and profound exchanges she and I had in prayer. I read about her. I studied her. I asked if she would inspire in me the things that were important to her. I discovered a soul full of love. I discovered her mother’s heart, her gentle spirit, her incalculable desire for us to know her Son, her passion to teach us how to grow in holiness. Her unrelenting endeavor to do whatever she can to guide us to heaven.

I feel such enormous gratitude for her. I hope you will find peace and guidance within these 365 devotionals designed to bring you closer to her. Whenever you feel discouraged or hopeless, Ask Her!
