Assertive Discipline, Third Edition

Prevent behavior problems by learning proactive techniques that teach students how to make responsible behavior choices all day long. This book outlines a three-step approach for positive behavior management by creating a classroom discipline plan that includes: 1. Rules that students must follow at all times 2. Supportive Feedback that students will recieve consistently for following the rules. 3. Corrective Actions that you will use consistently when students choose not to follow the rules.Assertive Discipline particularly emphasizes the last two steps to help teachers provide nonjudgmental feedback to students in a way that recognizes their efforts but also corrects their actions. Most importantly, the new edition stresses the importance of building positive relationships with students, which is vital for their success.
