About the Author
An assistant professor at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB), Dr. Wang coordinates Career and Technical Education (CTE) and Adult Education. He earned his B.A. in English in China and received four graduate degrees including a doctorate in CTE and Adult Education from Pittsburg State University and the University of Arkansas. Wang's research and writing activities have focused on workforce education, the foundations of adult education, adult teaching and learning, training, transformative learning, curriculum development and cultural issues in vocational and adult education. He has published more than eleven books and dozens of chapters and refereed journal articles in national and international journals. The total number of his publications has exceeded 70 and he achieved this number within six years while working for CSULB. He has taught college English, Chinese/modern China, computer technology, courses in vocational and adult education and research methodologies for three universities in China and three universities in the United States for the past 19 years. Currently, Wang is the editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Adult Vocational Education and Technology. He also serves on the editorial board of four other national and international journals.
