It Asset Management (itam) - Evolution And Implementation

In this second edition, I dive more deeply into how-to advice, real-world stories to emphasize points I make, and include more examples. I cover how to perform a Value Analysis and create a business case, how to drive organizational behavior and change, bar code scanners and what to look for, RFID and what to look for, specific rules to follow when designing data capture process and tools, and how to implement an internal software market (and more).

This book also covers Software Asset Management (SAM). It's a leading value opportunity for ITAM.

This is in addition to the original content, that covers the history of ITAM, the moment I discovered an approach that works, and a step-by-step guide on how to bring up a successful ITAM solution.

If you're in charge of ITAM for your organization - read this book. If you're a tools vendor developing and offering tools for the ITAM community, PLEASE read this book - the community needs tools designed for ITAM and I detail what features those tools should have - features that still are absent in even the leading ITAM tools of today.
