Jerald A. Jacobs is an attorney in Washington, D.C., who focuses on counseling and advocacy for business, professional, social welfare, philanthropic, and other nonprofit organizations. He serves as General Counsel to ASAE: The Center for Association Leadership, the major national association of nonprofit organization executive leadership, and its interdependent education and research affiliate, ASAE Foundation; he has taught nonprofit organization law at graduate law and business schools; he has been recognized by the American Bar Association for his work in the nonprofit organization field; and he has advised the governments of the European Union and the People's Republic of China on their laws for nongovernmental organizations.
