After a successful career at San Diego State University, she became a Certified Athletic Trainer and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Working as an assistant strength and conditioning coach at SDSU for 3 years gave her the opportunity to work closely with, and instruct, both men’s and women’s varsity and club teams. She was selected to participate on an expert panel for the evaluation of United States Marine Corp recruit training in San Diego, where the panel created recommendations for modifying the USMC recruit-training program to reduce military training related injuries. Recently Carolyn instructed approximately 400 firefighters and paramedics on Strength Training and Core Stabilization for Job Performance and Injury Reduction. Currently she is working as a Certified Athletic Trainer at San Diego State University.
