About the Author

Jemma Ryan grew up in Blackwell, Oklahoma, and feels that her greatest life accomplishment is being a wife and mother. Jemma felt a need to teach her children important life lessons. She lovingly named the main character in the stories after her little sister, Jaden “Bug” Siler, who passed away unexpectedly in 2018. Jemma’s goal is to build a connection between her children and their aunt through these stories, with hopes that they will be able to feel her love and the closeness that was lost. Her sons responded so positively to Aunt Bug’s life lessons, but she did not imagine that they would in turn be teaching her lessons from their short time with their aunt. Jemma’s hope is that Aunt Bug’s Life Lessons can be instrumental tools in helping teach children important life lessons, as well as encourage reading, just like she does with her own children.
