The third edition of this very scarce account of the life of political reformer Joseph Gerrald, published in the same year as the first edition.Gerrald was arrested for his radical views following the publication of his influential letter 'A Convention the Only Means of Saving Us from Ruin', and convicted of sedition, and ultimately deported to Sydney.Published the year after Gerrald's trial, in the year of his deportation to Australia, the year prior to his death.Retaining the original half title.ESTC reference N15043A very scarce work about the political reformer, published within his lifetime. Rebound in quarter cloth, with paper covered boards and endpapers renewed. Externally, fine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages age toned due to paper type. Spots and light marks throughout.
