The Author Adventure (Paperback or Softback)

Want to write a non-fiction book that transforms your life and others? This book is your companion for the adventure.

If you're a coach, healer, therapist, visionary, entrepreneur, or storyteller with a message or story burning inside you, you may have felt the call to write a book. You know your message could transform lives—starting with your own. But between blank page and published book lies territory that may feel overwhelming, confusing, and impossibly vast, yet also exciting and alluring.

The Author Adventure is your practical guidebook for writing with both soul and structure. Think of it like your sherpa through the four essential stages of climbing Mount Authorship:

1. Planning Your Adventure: Discover your writing rhythm, anchor into your why, get clear on your concept, develop a solid structure for your book, and create sustainable systems that support your creative flow
2. Rocking Your First Draft: Learn to navigate the messy middle, work with your inner critic, and sustain momentum when resistance hits; plus master dialogue, storytelling, credibility-building and more
3. Self-Editing Superstar: Transform your rough draft into polished prose with confidence and clarity via step-by-step self-editing guidance that pro-editors use in their work
4. Choosing Your Publishing Path: Decide between traditional and indie-publishing and launch your book in a way that feels authentic and enjoyable to you

This isn't another "write your book in 30 days" program. This definitive guide helps you navigate book writing at a sustainable pace and with purpose––honoring your creative process, your soul, and your nervous system, while producing work that truly matters.

This book was developed by Jaime Fleres, a writing coach and author with over 20 years experience helping writers thrive––from college students, to top doctors and lawyers, to conscious creatives with a soul calling to write a book. She founded her creative agency Whale Song to help writers like you thrive in the authorship experience. The resources and insight in these pages were once in the exclusive domain of her private coaching programs, before she chose to open this support to all authors who have an important message to share with the world.

Come along on an adventure that will meet you in both the soulful depths and the nuts-and-bolts practicalities of getting your messages and stories into the world in word form.
