The coming of Trailer Train, open auto racks, Verti-A-Pac, and various auto loading ramps are discussed and pictured. Trace the modern auto rack car from inception to today on roads ranging from Atlantic Coast Line to Kansas City Southern through the products of a number of manufacturers.
